Holy Graeter's Madagascar Vanilla Bean Ice Cream!!! Upcoming Historical Romance Books!!!!

April 27, 2022
Authors with an asterisk*, I'm picking up! Authors with **asterisks have either fallen off my radar or new to me, and I'm might read them this time around. Release dates mostly between May 15, 2022 and June 14, 2022. For more Upcoming Releases that aren't historical see HEY DELIA!!

Series indicates a series, spin-off, sequel, trilogy, brother/sister, secret society/spies, good friends who attended Oxford/Eton, vampire/werewolf - anything that has something continuing - even if written 20 years ago. Anthology/novella/short stories could be an anthology or a bunch of books in one print or novella - one tiny book or an anthology with a bunch of novellas - could be a short stories by one author, could be short stories by multiple authors - could be - I'm getting a headache. Ebook, only sold electronically for now. Debut - congratulations!

By the way, it is not my fault if a publisher changes the release dates - just so you know, they do not consult me. Let me also add this warning - since I am now using different sources, I am finding that one person's genre isn't necessarily another persons - sorry if your book is in the wrong genre.

Adventures with the Mackenzies...Jennifer Ashley

April 20, 2022
The Lonnnng Wait
So, while waiting for a GOOD new book, I have started a new project. I thought it would be fun to visit my library, and start rereading all my old books. I decided to reread alphabetically by author’s last name. What could be more fun! What could go wrong? I wonder how far I’ll be able to go? First up was/is Jennifer Ashley’s Mackenzie/McBride series. I have now finished the first five books in the series and arrived at this conclusion. These guys are better viewed from across a crowded room! Talk about high maintenance, with a tad bit of scary thrown in. But, boy oh boy, are they delicious hunks.

I especially loved Ian Mackenzie, in fact, he’s one of my favorite romance heroes. I’m not going to write anymore reviews on these five books, because I haven’t changed my mind from my initial reaction. If you are interested in my original thoughts, take a gander: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, 2008, Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage, 2010, The Many Sins of Lord Cameron, 2011, The Duke’s Perfect Wife, 2012, and The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie, 2013. If you’ve never read this series, what are you waiting for?!!! Take my word for it, you will love Ian! Just remember: there may be some angst.

Time/Place: Late 1880s England
Sensuality: Hot!!

Big Duke Energy by Kerrigan Byrne, Christi Caldwell, Amalie Howard, Janna MacGregor, Stacy Reid

April 11, 2022
Fingers, and whips, and ropes…oh my.

So, if you’re looking for page after page of moisture, finger-shenanigans, huge Timothy Toads, then Big Duke Energy is for you. There are a lot of exploding giant logs being inserted into tight-fitting woman caves. There were five authors who contributed to this book: The Earl on the Train, by Kerrigan Byrne, Love and Found, by Christi Caldwell, The Wolf of Westmore, by Amalie Howard, Put up Your Dukes, by Janna MacGregor, and Duke of Every Sin, by Stacy Reid. For me, there were two stand outs: Duke of Every Sin, by Stacy Reid, and Loved and Found, by Christi Caldwell. Those two stories had more than just a romp in the hay. Unlike the other short stories in this book, these two stories had a plot, and not just another reason for writing about raunchy sex. A gripe, aka pet-peeve: not fond of the use of the word c**ny; I have always found it demeaning, and not something I want whispered in my ear.

I’ll make this short and sweet. I found Stacy Reid’s story to be the best in the book, followed by Christi Caldwell. The rest, I didn’t care for. They were filled with boring sex, and no narrative. I’m sorry, but alllllllll the variations and different positions in the world don’t make up for a good story-line.

I would take a chance on a full length novel by Stacy Reid and Christi Caldwell.
